I finished something I had started about a year ago. I Found this quilt top in the bottom of my scrap fabric bin. (Why it was in there I have no idea.) I remember that I had wanted to create a small, fun, non tradition baby and crib quilt.
I found the rich jewel tones interesting, and with the variety of the colour it would be a great addition to any home/ nursery. Because of the variety of colour it would be easy to co-ordinate with any colour scheme, or theme in a baby room. Also the back is a plain white with a grey 1/4 square. Why not have a little fun ?
I find a lot of quilts out there are well very baby like. Ducks and bunnies and pastel colours everywhere. (PS I love ducks) Which don’t get me wrong, they have their place, and are fine and dandy. But nothing I would really look for in a quilt, I like things little more linear.
